Paz Soriano - Director Paz was born in Barcelona, Spain. At the age of 11, she started studying Ballet at the Escuela De Ballet Classico with Eva Baltri, where she stayed for 6 years. The next four years she studied Ballet under Madame Nelsy Dambre (French Technique) at the Academia De la Danza, affiliated with the Instituto Nacional De Belas Artes. Mrs, Soriano has professional performed, taught and choreographed ballet in Mexico City, Long Beach, California. She studied the Russian and Cuban techniques of dance, as well as the Royal Academy of Dancing and the Imperial Society of Teachers of dancing from London, England in the area of Ballet, Modern, European Folk Dancing and Tap. Carla Soriano - Assistant Director Carla is a graduate of the School for Creative Arts in Chula Vista and is certified by the Royal Academy of Dancing and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. Carla has assisted teaching various courses for the Royal Academy of Dancing and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing in Long Beach, California, Malibu, California, Mexico City, Guadalajara and Guantanamo Leon Mexico. Carla has been Mrs. Soriano’s Top assistant for over 10 years, teaching and choreographing Ballet productions. Her experience as a performer includes: The Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker; Aurora in Sleeping Beauty; Swanhilda in Coppelia; Odette/Odille in the Swan Lake; Cinderella in Cinderella. Besides teaching at the Ballet Conservatory, she has presented full length productions such as: The Wizard of Oz; Cinderella; Swan Lake; Sleeping Beauty and the Nutcracker for the City of Chula Vista Parks and Recreation Department, where she has been a dance teacher and choreographer. |
